These are terms that are mentioned everyday in the mobile phone photography world, a world that is getting popular, larger and more on show. An easily accessible one that is fun to some and serious to others. Many groups have formed on the web and sites have set up, pockets of people love the work that can be produced by the once humble mobile 'phone'

I am a fan.

I have succumb to excitement of photography on the move without having the Canon with me. Oh the guilt though, the guilt of leaving behind my Canon untouched and vacant in her bag. I kick myself sometimes though, the Android is good but it is a markedly different kind of photography. Simpler, easier and the editing is different.

The Autumn spider, hiding away in-between the pergola and fence, twisted jasmine and honeysuckle. She would have been inaccessible if l tried to photograph her with the Canon, honest. The phone produces a not so bad piece even after editing and zooming in to crop. 

I am very rigidly into my Canon and feel a little two faced but also intrigued by the capacity of technology. The capability of what the phone can do for me as a photographer.

The downside ~ Copyrighting.

Now, l'm a newbie to finding my way in this world of what does what on the phone but l have scrutinised the phone and buggered if l can find any other way of doing this. To me a large batch of cumbersome initials stuck on a photo is not good, does not sit well. To find some other way or more practice with what little l have in the app is all l can do meanwhile.

Autumns beauty can still be captured in some detail in a different way, not expecting too much is the first step! Idea of grandeur and breathlessness are to be left at home, if you want that then do not do phone photography, you will be bitterly disappointed unless you are a hardened expert.

Keep and open mind, think surreal and make it happen. Allow yourself freedom for a while and a playtime from hardcore photography. I do and l adore it, l do admit though a habit forming feature it is and a habit forming one is hard to break as so is a good a pint!

Light and shadows is easy with the phone, to easy perhaps but then again as l said before that is the fun of it. The editing app gives a multitude of things to help you along whilst still pulling on what you know best.

Be your own judge. See what you want and go all out to get it. There are no hard and fast rules. Stick your phone where you want!

So, Androidography is the term used by folk who love phone photography. I am a using my phone for photography, l am an Androidographer. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
